Reiki Courses Offered
I offer classes in Reiki Levels 1 (Self-Healing), 2 (Distance Healing), and 3 (Master) and can guide you on your journey to Level 4 (Master Teacher). It can take up to 3 years of training to become a full Reiki Master. You'll be expected to practice Reiki regularly on yourself and others during this time.
Level 4 (Master Teacher) of Reiki certification is for practitioners who want to upgrade their knowledge and skills to the highest certifiable level, and qualifies them to teach Reiki workshops and certify Reiki practitioners at various levels. At this level you will learn to attune others and prepare to be a good teacher. This course takes approximately a year and can follow Reiki 3 after 3 months.
As this Journey is a long one that requires time and dedication, I only do these courses upon request. Please message me if you are interested and I will go over the details and what is required.

The History of Reiki
Reiki is an energy healing technique in which a Reiki master (who has undergone formal training in this healing art) uses gentle hand movements with the intention to guide the flow of healthy energy (what's known in Reiki as life force energy) through the client's body to reduce stress and promote healing. Training in this type of energy healing usually takes years to complete, as you need time in between each level to hone your skills and become adept at learning your symbolism. Be aware that there are many “weekend” classes that may teach you the basics but not the full spectrum of what Reiki is and does. Reiki has been handed down from the Masters in Japan over the centuries, so when finding an instructor make sure that they have been certified from this lineage.
The Japanese system of Reiki was created by Usui Mikao, a spiritual teacher and energy healer who lived in Japan between 1865 and 1926. Originally developed as a spiritual practice for himself, Usui Mikao eventually taught his Reiki system of the precepts, reiju, meditations, waka, and healing techniques to thousands of students.
The teacher-student relationship has a long and ancient history, with devoted students learning from their Master, then developing their own practice and eventually becoming teachers themselves.
Of the thousands of Usui’s original students, only a handful reached the level of Shinpiden or Reiki Master. And it is from these original Reiki Masters that the Japanese system of Reiki has now reached every corner of the globe.
Understanding the Japanese Reiki lineage of your teacher is very important for two main reasons.

Understanding the Japanese Reiki lineage of your teacher is very important for two main reasons.
- First, you can establish a clear path of your reiju, which, coming from a fully trained Reiki Master/Teacher, is a little like receiving the blessing from Usui himself.
- And secondly, you’ll know which energy system and meditation practices you will be learning. Western lineages base the healing and techniques around the Chakras while traditional Japanese Reiki is founded on Ki and deeper breathing techniques into the Hara.
Knowing your teacher’s lineage means you can choose the methods that will best align with your own lifestyle and beliefs.
